Since our inception, Prindle, Decker & Amaro LLP has been actively involved in representing clients in the private security industry, including private patrol operators, security guards, private investigators and companies involved in surveillance and special events. The firm provides counsel to the private security industry for proactive risk management and defends the ever increasing civil suits brought by victims of crime in third party criminal conduct cases. The firm handles a wide variety of cases involving allegations of negligent security, false arrest, and assault and battery.

As general counsel to many members of the private security industry, we promote effective risk management, which includes monitoring and documenting pre-employment background checks, strange or violent behavior, abusive conduct or other indicia of potential problem employees. Further, we suggest our clients develop and/or comply with certain industry standards and protocol, particularly as to education and training, so as to minimize their potential exposure.

The firm has been active in establishing and currently participates as legal advisor to the California Association of Licensed Security Agencies, Guards and Associates (CALSAGA), an organization which provides leadership, continuing education and training to the security process which shall be recognized by the state, and perhaps nationwide.
