Prindle, Decker & Amaro LLP has long been involved in defending manufacturers and distributors of chemicals and other products which allegedly expose workers or bystanders to harmful fumes or toxins. The firm is currently National Coordinating Counsel for several chemical distributors and manufacturers. It actively defends claims due to alleged exposures to pesticides, carbon monoxide, MEK, trichloro-ethane, beryllium, talc, silica, sulfuryl fluoride, and benzine. The firm has experience in defending claims involving interstitial fibrosis, talcosis, silicosis, leukemia, multiple myeloma, gioblastoma multiforme, bronchiolitis obliterans and "multiple chemical sensitivity."

Our toxic tort defense group is not only experienced in personal injury actions, but in defending "sick building" cases as well. We also have vast experience in defending drug and talc manufacturers and distributors, and are currently involved in the DES and latex glove litigations.

The firm is also experienced in litigating leaking underground storage tanks and pipeline cases, as well as exposure to workers and bystanders to allegedly harmful chemicals and fumes.

Further, the firm actively represents Pest Control Operators (Branch I, II and III Licensees) in pesticide related litigation, including personal injury and negligent application cases. As general counsel to various licensees and as an active member in the Pest Control Operators of California (PCOC) , the firm understands the pest control industry, and is aware of the developments in the industry due to the Structural Pest Control Act. With this background, we are able to soundly and economically evaluate and defend lawsuits and claims.

Defending these types of complex toxic torts requires an aggressive posture in defending the claim, along with full input and clear communication with the client. The firm is always conscious of the economic realities of defending these types of actions and is mindful that an aggressive defense will usually inhibit future claims
